The "Short Stay Program Advanced Course" has been completed.
The Short-stay Program Advanced Course, a short-term training program for fostering young researchers started on October 22 for two weeks and completed on November 2.
Eight trainees from four universities comprising Mongolian University of Science and Technology (Mongolia), Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan), Navoi Mining University (Uzbekistan), and Kyrgyz State University of Geology, Mining and Natural Resources Development n.a. academic U. Asanaliev(Kyrgyzstan), participated in the lectures, tours of resource-related facilities, tutorials by ICREMER faculty members (practical lectures related to each faculty member's research field in ICREMER). Finally, in the closing ceremony on the last week, Prof. Shibayama (Director of ICREMER) gave a congratulatory speech and distributed the certificate of completion to the trainees . Finally, the program was officially closed by the speeches from all trainees and the memorial photo with the faculty members and staffs.
All trainees successfully completed the two-week program and returned to their respective countries with new knowledge, experience, and friends, and we hope they will continue to maintain their ties with Akita University and will return to Akita in the future
