Prof. Adachi's Presentation
The 2024 autumn meeting of the Mining and Materials Processing Institute of Japan, “MMIJ Fall Meeting 2024” was held at Akita University from September 10th to 12th.
On the second day of the conference, Professor Tsuyoshi Adachi, the coordinator of the Smart Mining Program, organized a session titled “Development of Global Workforce in Resource Field and International Collaboration Projects". In this session, academics from Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, Kyoto University, and Kyushu University, as well as international cooperation specialists from JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and an officer from JOGMEC (Japan Energy, Metals & Minerals Corporation), presented their efforts to develop human resources through resource education.
Representing the SMP, Professor Adachi gave a presentation titled “The Inter-University Exchange Project of Akita University and Kyushu University: Collaborative Human Resource Development with Universities in Southern African Countries through the Smart Mining Program.”
This session provided an opportunity for the audience to take a comprehensive view of the efforts of each university and institution, and promoted intellectual exchange.
