On October 3rd, the entrance ceremony for the Graduate School of International Resource Sciences was held. During the ceremony, Prof. Hikari Fujii, the Dean of the Graduate School delivered a speech in which he stated, “The Graduate School of International Resource Sciences has its roots in Akita Mining College founded in 1910. We promote cutting-edge education and research, supported by advanced knowledge and expertise in earth resource science, earth resource engineering and environmental science. We hope that each of you will pursue your dreams and hopes, and strive to become global leaders. Akita is a place of scenic beauty, so we hope you enjoy the four seasons and that your future student life will be fruitful.”
Ten individuals were granted admission to the Graduate School this time, including 8 for the Master’s Program and 2 for the Doctoral Program.
