Yusuf Zaki Agung, who completed the master’s program at the Graduate School of International Resource Sciences in September 2024, investigated the potential for ion-adsorption type rare earth mineralization associated with weathered granite in southern Bangka Island, Indonesia. As a result, it was found that rare earth elements were concentrated in areas where kaolinite predominates, revealing that ion-adsorption type mineralization can also be observed in Indonesia.
These findings have been published online in Resource Geology.
