Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Tajikistan H.E. Keiko Furuta Visited the Graduate School of International Resource Sciences.

On 21st March 2025, H.E. Keiko Furuta, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Tajikistan, visited Akita University to pay a courtesy visit to Yoshihiro Minamiya, President of Akita University and had a meeting with Atsushi Shibayama, Dean of Graduate School of International Resource Sciences, and others.
The Graduate School of International Resource Sciences is working on the spread of geothermal energy technologies and taking action on global warming countermeasures in Tajikistan, centered on the SATREPS* Project (Project Leader: Professor Fumiaki Inagaki).
During the Ambassador’s visit, we had a fruitful exchange of views on academic and student exchange in Tajikistan and Central Asia.
