Nyuto Lodge (Education, Research and Training Facility in a Natural Setting)

Nyuto Lodge was established in November 1996 as a facility for welfare, training and extra-curricular activities for students and teaching staff. The lodge is located in a corner of Nyuto Hot Spring Village, in the south of Towada-Hachimantai National Park. The surrounding area is blessed with a rich natural environment and resources, from its simple hot spring resorts to a range of seasonal leisure activities including therapeutic walks in beautiful beech forests and skiing, making it a firm favorite with both students and staff. And the area is also renowned for its cuisine using fine local ingredients harvested from the land. Nyuto Lodge has a training room (also used as a dining room), bathrooms and accommodation for up to 30 people (3 Japanese-style rooms and 2 Western-style rooms).
