Akita University has formed collaboration agreements with municipalities in Akita Prefecture with the aim of providing them with its educational and research resources and promoting regional revitalization. Aiming to be ‘a university rooted in the local community,’ Akita University initiates public contribution activities by holding public lectures and encouraging students to interact with the region.
In addition, the university has also established Akita University Yokote Branch School, Akita University Kita-Akita Branch School and Akita University Oga Namahage Branch School.
